Langkawi Island

Langkawi Island is one of the districts in the state of Kedah Darul Aman, Malaysia. Now, the island is rich with natural beauty and legends of the past this has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Malaysia. And in 1987, the Island is given tax-exempt status. The word Langkawi itself has a meaning, ie meaning reddish brown eagle in Malay.

The island is located west of the state of Kedah and Perlis, Peninsular Malaysia is on June 1, 2007 has been granted World Geopark status by UNESCO. So you should not hesitate to come to this island, because you will really enjoy the natural beauty that will not make you disappointed.
